Who We Are?
Caritas Madagascar (CMG) is a non-profit Catholic non-governmental organization (NGO), governed by Law No. 96-030 of August 14, 1997 on associations in Madagascar, as well as by its bylaws and internal regulations.
A member of Caritas Internationalis, a global confederation of more than 160 Caritas organizations present in over 200 countries and territories, Caritas Madagascar actively takes part in the Catholic Church's universal mission on behalf of the most vulnerable, through humanitarian action, sustainable development, social justice and emergency response.
In Madagascar, Caritas Madagascar coordinates and supports the network of 22 diocesan Caritas organizations, present throughout the national territory. This network makes it possible to implement development, resilience, food security, protection, health, education, disaster risk reduction and humanitarian assistance programs close to the communities.
A private organization, autonomous and independent of any political or ideological affiliation, Caritas Madagascar welcomes all individuals who embrace its mission and values, without distinction of sex, origin, ethnicity, social status or belief.
True to its humanitarian and Christian vocation, Caritas Madagascar devotes all of its resources to fulfilling its mission. No income or profit is distributed to its members.

Our objectives
Our Objectives
To accomplish its mission, Caritas Madagascar pursues the following objectives:
Promote and Coordinate
Promote, drive and coordinate the human development actions carried out by the diocesan Caritas, with particular attention to disadvantaged, marginalized and excluded people.
Humanitarian Assistance
Provide humanitarian assistance during emergencies and support communities in their recovery and sustainable development.
Analysis and Solutions
Analyze situations of vulnerability and implement, in partnership with other actors, appropriate solutions promoting social justice, human dignity and inclusion.
Strengthen Collaboration
Strengthen collaboration among the various actors engaged in the social, humanitarian, charitable and economic fields, in accordance with their respective responsibilities.
Develop Partnerships
Develop partnerships with national and international organizations, particularly within the Caritas network and with episcopal conferences that share the same values and objectives.
Civil Society Development
Contribute to the development of Malagasy civil society by fostering dialogue, solidarity, peace and the promotion of social justice.

In order to fulfill its mission, Caritas Madagascar mobilizes its resources in accordance with the principles of transparency and good governance. They come in particular from:
Contributions from member diocesan Caritas
Grants and funding from national and international partners
Donations from individuals and legal entities
Bequests and donations authorized by current legislation
Revenue generated by activities consistent with its mission and non-profit status

Caritas Madagascar applies rigorous standards of administrative, financial and accounting management. The organization ensures responsible use of its resources in accordance with its internal procedures, generally accepted accounting principles, and the requirements of its partners and donors.
All resources mobilized are exclusively allocated to fulfilling the mission of Caritas Madagascar, for the benefit of the most vulnerable communities.
